Android Device Support?

Unread post by codetricity » August 15th, 2017, 3:23 pm

Has anyone tested the Ricoh R Development Kit with an Android device?

There's a number of projects to add UVC webcams to Android. I have not tested any

https://github.com/saki4510t/UVCCamera

This one supports UVC 1.5.
https://github.com/jwoolston/Android-Webcam

How is that possible? I thought the Linux kernel didn't support UVC 1.5? There's this message thread from the Linux-UVC-devel list that everyone was having problems with UVC 1.5 on Linux in 2016. Did someone figure it out?

I'm using Ricoh R in HDMI streaming mode with a HDMI to USB capture card and with that first library (UVCCamera)
I haven't been able to get it to work on android at all.

I'm using Ricoh R in HDMI streaming mode with a HDMI to USB capture card and it works well with that first library (UVCCamera)

Google Android is a Linux based mobile device operating system. I hope your Linux port will work on this without any hassles.
