macOS support

Unread post by okjoel » October 16th, 2019, 2:43 am

Hi, I am using macOS 10.15. I received a Ricoh Theta R development kit, and when I plugged the camera into my computer over USB, the webcam preview is green and unusable.

I upgraded the firmware from 1.00 to 1.21 and still have this issue.

When I install the UVC capture software for macOS, the camera disappears as a webcam completely. This was true for firmware 1.00 and firmware 1.21.

Please advise on settings for me to use the camera with macOS 10.15. Thank you.

After removing and re-installing UVC capture software for macOS and power cycling the device, the UVC feed seems to work as expected. I'm not sure what changed, so I'm not confident why it's working... but so far... OK!
