Will the RICOH R provide an Open Spherical Camera API?
(Maybe this post is a better fit for the Development forum? If so, let me know and I'll gladly move!)

No, the device controll of RICOH R is USB only. OSC API is not supported because there is no Wi-Fi interface.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Are there any plans to provide backward compatibility with UVC 1.1 in addition to the existing UVC 1.5? If so, it might be possible to add still image capture support with this type of application: https://github.com/yangh/uvcvideo
Realistically, the majority of industrial or commercial use of the Ricoh R Development Kit is going to be on Linux. There's a big cost difference between a Linux-based computer running ARM and a Windows-based computer.

Im going to be attending an open house for the law school I will be attending in the fall. Would I be overdressed if I wore a suit and tie? Im not sure what the typical scene is like at these open houses. Thanks
